The new 24/7 Crisis Center will have five rooms for adults and three for children. The center will be staffed by a wide variety of highly skilled individuals including nurses to perform medical assessments and a full assessment staff to see what kind of care the individual needs, make proper referrals, and connect them with the proper resources.
In the case of children and adolescents there are three options:
a. Outpatient: External services; Client allowed to return home.
b. Inpatient: The client will be given a choice for voluntary inpatient hospitalization. If the client is stable and the guardian declines, the Emergency Triage Specialist will follow Outpatient protocol.
c. Stabilization Room: Less intensive stabilization up to 24 hours. Client would remain in the crisis center and be assigned a room. Client would receive peer support services and be connected to additional outpatient support and resources.
