Vallivue High School 2023-24

Driver's Education 411

Greetings Students and Parents:

The Vallivue High School Driver Education program welcomes you to the 2023/24 school year.

As you look forward to participation in Driver's Education, please pay particular attention to the calendar (on the right of this page) as this will be our primary method for communicating all the classroom and driving session information for each of our students.  Also be very careful to avoid any vacations, long weekends or any activity that might result in attendance issues for students.

There will be a make up session for any student who misses one (and only one) classroom session. A missed drive session (behind-the-wheel) will result in a $25 charge to the parent; two or more missed classroom and/or drive sessions will result in the student being dropped from the class - no exceptions.

If for some reason an emergency arises that might potentially interfere with scheduled attendance, please communicate this information as soon as possible with Mr. Cartwright and your student's behind-the-wheel instructor.

Thank you for your participation in Vallivue High School Driver Education program and happy motoring to all!

Lloyd Cartwright (Classroom Instructor); Steve Vickers,  Bonnie Mahannah, Jeff Fleshman, Serena Lehman, Diana Rivera (Behind the Wheel Instructors).

Session Four Dates: February 26 - April 3, 2024

As we begin this first Driver's Education session for the school year please understand that current District and Driver's Education practices may evolve should health concerns arise for students, staff and parents. Any alterations to the current Driver's Education session will be made in accordance with directives from the Governor's Office, health professionals and Vallivue School District officials. Reference Vallivue High School & District websites for any changes that might be made as we progress through Session Four and throughout the school year. Our Driver's Education calendar and "Important Dates" listed below is updated regularly as well.

Classroom meetings will take place in the Room 118 and at this time it is optional that each student bring and wear a protective mask while in the classroom and vehicle to maintain the greatest level of protection for everyone - reusable and/or cloth masks should be washed daily after class or drive if used.

Again, this policy is subject to change based on directives from district officials.
