Greetings Students and Parents:
The Vallivue High School Driver Education program welcomes you to the 2025/26 school year.
As you look forward to participation in Driver's Education, please pay particular attention to the calendar (on the right of this page) as this will be our primary method for communicating all the classroom and driving session information for each of our students. Also be very careful to avoid any vacations, long weekends or any activity that might result in attendance issues for students.
There will be a make up session for any student who misses one (and only one) classroom session. A missed drive session (behind-the-wheel) will result in a $25 charge to the parent; two or more missed classroom and/or drive sessions will result in the student being dropped from the class - no exceptions.
If for some reason an emergency arises that might potentially interfere with scheduled attendance, please communicate this information as soon as possible with Mr. Cartwright and your student's behind-the-wheel instructor.

Session Two Dates: November 5 - December 10, 2025
Students & parents: Welcome to Session Two of Driver's Education for the 2025/26 school year. VHS Driver's Ed instructors look forward to meeting each of you at our Parent Orientation Meeting. Our instructors anticipate that your participation in this next, huge step in your life will be a valuable learning experience which will launch each student into an exciting opportunity to safely and responsibly share roads, operate motor vehicles wisely and become an educated member of the driving public. Our Driver's Education calendar and "Important Dates" listed below is updated regularly as need should arise - so, again, this webpage will provide the most current updated information for Session Three should any unforeseen changes occur.
Classroom meetings will take place in the Room 118. Classroom instruction will take place from 6:50 am - 8:20 am. As many parents will provide transportation to school for Driver's Ed zero period class, be aware that Mr. Cartwright will arrive on campus each morning at approximately 6:15 am so that parents can drop off and go about their day.

Behind-the-Wheel Final Driving Exam: To Be Determined by Instructors (consult Driver's Education calendar and behind the wheel instructor)
