If you need to use the library, media center, or club rooms before or after these hours, please contact Ms. Schroeder to make arrangements
Clean up after yourself
Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself
Use furniture and library materials as intended
Eat or drink elsewhere (food is messy and can mess up our books!)
Don't know them? Ask!
21 days (three weeks) is the standard check-out time. You can renew a book as many times as you want!
We don't do late fines! Once a book is overdue, you'll start getting annoying emails about returning it. You can either renew it (if you're still reading it) or return it!
If you forget to return it, no worries - we'll just keep bugging you until you do, but you won't need to pay anything!
The only time you'll ever have to pay a fine is if a book is lost - then you'll have to pay to replace it. As long as books get turned in, you're all good!
If you lose a book, or damage it so much that it has to be replaced, you'll need to pay for it. The price depends on the book.
Damage on textbooks that do not inhibit the ability for them to be used will be fined at a flat rate of $25.00, which will go toward the cost of repairing the damage. Damage on books will be priced depending on extent of damage.
Usually, three - but you need or want more, talk to Ms. S., and we'll see what we can do :)
Study, read, research, hang out, learn new stuff, play games, do puzzles... the possibilities are endless. The library is a shared space - meaning we can use it for really anything!
Club rooms are located in the library, and Ms. S has some games and puzzles that you can check out. You can use the computers / technology if you'd like, and you're of course more than welcome to hang out, work on homework, or just enjoy the space!
Books and technology + food and water = a potentially dangerous situation. We'd love to have you here at lunch, but unfortunately, you'll need to finish eating before you come in. This ensures our library is clean, safe, and enjoyable for everyone!
Totally! Fill out the Book Request Form (or drop it off at the Book Request Box at the circulation desk) and we'll see what we can do :)
Maybe! Talk books with Ms. S - if she hasn't read it yet, she will!
