Mrs. Purdy

This is my fourteenth year at Vallivue High School and my 25th year as an educator. I previously taught in Texas and the West Ada school district.  I am excited to be teaching Intervention English and Study Skills.  Your student is anticipated to experience a year of academic growth and a joy of learning.

Research has proven that when parents and teachers work together, everyone benefits: students tend to earn higher grades, perform better on tests, attend school more regularly, have better behavior, and show more positive attitudes toward themselves and toward school (Andrea Canter, Ph.D., NCSP).  Parental involvement ensures the effective, high level of education for which the Vallivue School District has become known throughout the state of Idaho. Este es mi decimocuarto año en la preparatoria Vallivue y mi vigésimo quinto año como educador. Anteriormente enseñé en Texas y en el distrito escolar de West Ada. Estoy emocionado de enseñar inglés de intervención y técnicas de estudio. Se espera que su hijo experimente un año de crecimiento académico y disfrute del aprendizaje.

Las investigaciones han demostrado que cuando los padres y los maestros trabajan juntos, todos se benefician: los estudiantes tienden a obtener mejores calificaciones, rendir mejor en los exámenes, asistir a la escuela con mayor regularidad, tener un mejor comportamiento y mostrar actitudes más positivas hacia sí mismos y hacia la escuela (Andrea Canter, Ph.D., NCSP).
