Alevins Day of Hatching

The Alevins are an interesting stage of the trout. They have a little sack of food on their stomachs called a yolk sack so that they can eat when they are little. 

I am a egg.

I am not a peg.

I look like a sprinkle,

Yet I don’t twinkle.

I am very tiny.

But I’m not at all shiny.

I’m not very clear,

But if you are near,

I am an egg,

I am not a peg.
