Unfortunately NYSSMA is cancelled this year.

New York State School Music Association

Selected students will be chosen by Ms. Shannon for this performance. Students will perform scales, a piece of music and sight read for an adjudicator and given a score. High scoring students are recommended for the Nassau All-County Festival.

NYSSMA requires extra music lessons and extra home practice. I HIGHLY encourage NYSSMA students to practice at home with "You Tube" It is easy to find your song on this site demonstrated by a teacher or good player.
