In first grade, homework should be completed daily. Each week a homework packet will be sent home. Be your child's "homework coach"! Please review the homework with your child, after they complete it. When you are sure they understand all the concepts, please sign the homework packet. If there are tricky parts, please highlight them or write me a note, and I will be happy to work with your child on the parts of the homework that were challenging.

After you review the homework, I invite you to enjoy reading to and with your child. "E-Z Reader" books will be sent home each day. A monthly Reading Log will be sent home, on which you should record the date, the title of the book, and your signature. This special twenty minute routine will help your child succeed in school, as well as create a love of reading!
