About me

This is my 5th year at Valley Academy and my third year as the Math Teacher.  I started my teaching career back in 2007 as a 6th grade Math teacher in the Glendale Elementary School District.  I taught a 5-6 combo, 6-8 combo and a couple of years of 3-4 ELL combos.  I stepped out of the classroom my last two years to be a Math Achievement Advisor and TAP Master Teacher.

I took some time off to be a mom to my 3 amazing kiddos.  I have two sons 12 and 10 as well as a daughter that is 7.  My 10 and 7 year old attend Valley and my 12 year old goes to a Deer Valley School.  My oldest rocks an extra gene!

In my free time, I like to read, run and hike.  I played collegiate soccer at Nazareth College where I got my undergrad degree in Inclusive Education and History and I have my masters in Reading Curriculum and Instruction from GCU. I took the Middle School ELA teacher proficiency test and Middle School Math proficiency test my first year of teaching and am highly qualified to teach both subjects.
