Supporting Every Student:
Vale School District Counseling Services
At Vale School District, school counselors are vital members of our educational team, serving every school across the district. Through comprehensive counseling programs, they provide critical support to ensure the academic success, personal growth, and social-emotional well-being of every student.
Our school counselors provide a wide range of services, including short-term individual, crisis, and group counseling, social-emotional learning lessons, and advocacy for our students with 504 plans and IEP's to ensure equitable access to education. They work closely with students, families, and educators to:
✅ Support Academic Achievement – Helping students set goals, overcome challenges, and develop essential learning strategies.
✅ Promote Social-Emotional Well-Being – Providing guidance on self-awareness, relationship skills, and emotional regulation.
✅ Community Connections – Connect students/families with community behavioral health agencies to support the mental health of students.
We are committed to empowering every student with the tools and support they need to thrive—both in school and beyond.
Vale SD school counselors are licensed through the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission in the State of Oregon. The minimum education requirement for this license is a master’s degree in school counseling or social work. While some counselors may hold a restricted license, staff members pursuing a master’s degree are fully supported throughout their program by a licensed counselor.
