A Little About Me
Hello all! My name is Keri Osborne. I told my parents that I wanted to be a teacher at 12 and have worked towards that goal from that point forward. I graduated high school with about 2,000 volunteer hours in grade schools and volunteered in various middle schools throughout college. I earned my Associate's degree from Treasure Valley Community College. I completed my Bachelor's in Mathematics from Western Oregon University. Finally, I completed my Master's in Teaching Mathematics Middle Grades from Western Governor's University.
Seeing students' "Ah-Ha!" moments in math brings me immense joy and helping students see that math can be fun is a passion of mine. Before coming to Vale, I was a short and long-term substitute, instructional assistant, high school liaison, and high school math teacher. I am now going into my third year teaching and am looking forward to being a Vale Viking!
Something unique about me is that I was homeschooled for all of my K-12 years except for the end of third grade and the beginning of fourth grade when I attended Pioneer Elementary in Ontario.
Outside of teaching, I love spending time with my 10 niblings (nieces and nephews), riding horses, training dogs, and spending time with all of my other animals. During the summer you probably won't see me much as I will be off camping with my horses or going on road trips.
