Born and raised in Elgin, Oregon
Graduated high school in 1993 and Eastern Oregon University in 1998ve
Taught for two years in Pilot Rock and the past 21 years in Vale at both the middle school and high school
8th Grade Volleyball Coach for 12 years
Am the proud mother of an adorable eight year old son, JohnE
My hobbies include: Team-Roping, Rodeos, Hiking, Biking, STRONG, , Reading, Shopping, Spending time with friends/family, Drinking Granitas.
FUN FACT: I love to mow yards!! I have even been known to secretly mow my neighbor's yards when they are gone and I pack my weed-eater with me, so that I can weed eat while visiting friends.
Monday: Library Day, Silent Reading, Review sample papers for state testing, read and determine high, medium, low
Tuesday: Bowling Rewards Trip in Caldwell
Wednesday/Thursday: Begin state testing - CAT portion of SBAC
Special Projects:
8th graders will have a speech unit and will present a minimum of two times to the class.
Helping your child at home:
Help them study vocabulary words.
Have them read their essays to you. Reading them out-loud is a great editing method/tool.
Show interest in their school work and accomplishments.
Nightly journaling. Writing at least something helps to improve their academic writing as well.
