All About Me

Hi! My name is Chrissie Reed. This is my 12th year teaching at Vale Elementary School. My husband Rob and I have lived in the Vale/Ontario area all our lives. Both our kids attended and graduated from Vale High School. In our off time we enjoy Kayaking, camping, fishing and spending time with our family. My favorite color is purple, I love Tacos and my favorite hobby is reading a good book.

I love teaching! I was homeschooled until my Sophomore year in high school. Although I loved being home schooled, I wanted to play sports. I attended Ontario High school where I was active in Dance Team, Fastpitch Softball, Bible Club and Wrestling(Stats Keeper). I graduated from OHS in 1994. I went on to TVCC to receive my Associate of Arts in Elementary Education then transferred to EOU for CORE. I graduated in 2010 with my Bachelors in Multidisciplinary studies/Elementary Education/ESOL.  Teaching is what I have always wanted to do. I love seeing little minds blossom and grow. Watching the light bulb moment in a child's eyes is the best feeling in the world.

I am looking forward to having a great year and I am excited to get to know my students and their wonderful families! It's going to be a great adventure!
