About Me

My name is Erica Jossi and I have been a middle and high school math teacher for 19 years. This is my tenth year as a math teacher at Vale Middle School and I am looking forward to another great year with the Vale School District! As a math teacher, I want each student to feel success in their math class and to learn to love math (at least a little). 

I was born and raised on a farm in Gales Creek, Oregon with my two brothers. After graduating from Forest Grove High School, I attended Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon to major in Math Education and Music Education. I moved to Ontario to begin teaching math and have been a transplant to eastern Oregon ever since. During my first several years of teaching, I attended classes to get my Master's of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. 

Outside of school, I love to spend time with my family, including my six adorable nephews/nieces, and keeping everyone fed with my cooking and baking projects.
