Classroom Guidelines
Respect: I expect everyone in this class to treat each other with respect and kindness. Differences of opinion are natural, but we will engage in constructive discussions and listen to each other's perspectives without judgment.
Participation: Active participation is key to a meaningful learning experience. I encourage you to ask questions, share your thoughts, and contribute to class discussions. Remember, your insights are valuable, and they enrich our learning environment.
Punctuality: Please arrive on time for each class. Be in your seat when the bell rings. Punctuality shows responsibility and sets a positive tone for the day.
Cell Phones and Devices: During class time, all cell phones and electronic devices should be put on silent and kept out of sight, unless we are using them for educational purposes. There are many assignments that I will allow you to use your phone; however, if you are using it without permission, your cell phone will be confiscated.
Preparedness: Come to class prepared with all necessary materials, such as notebooks, pens, and any projects/homework/readings that were assigned.
Expectations:
Attendance: Regular attendance is essential for your success in this class. If you miss a class, it is your responsibility to catch up on the material and any assignments you may have missed. If you are gone for extracurricular activities just come chat with me!
Homework and Assignments: Completing your homework and assignments on time is a non-negotiable. I will NOT accept any late work. Each student will get one freebee for the year because I know, life happens. After that, every late or missing assignment will be a zero.
Respect for Diversity: Our class is made up of students from various backgrounds and experiences. Embrace and respect this diversity as it enriches our learning environment.
Confidentiality: Some discussions in the class may touch on personal and sensitive topics. I expect everyone to maintain confidentiality and trust among our peers.
