I'm Robert Tabor. This is my 9th year of teaching. Before becoming a Knight, I worked in Vacaville USD, first as a substitute teacher, then as a Physical Science teacher at Vaca Peña Middle School.
I've lived in Vacaville all of my life. I graduated from Vacaville High School before earning a Bachelor of Science in Physics with a minor in English from Saint Mary's College of California in Moraga, CA. My undergraduate research focused on analyzing Martian craters.
I've always had an interest in science, even as a child. However, my desire to pursue science as a career was solidified in high school, thanks to the Earth Science teacher I had as a Freshman.
My favorite part about teaching high school science is the incredible combination of enthusiasm and curiosity in this age group, especially among the students at Buckingham.
Through these students, I'm continuously reminded of why I became interested in science and decided to become a teacher: that I get to share in their discovery of the inner workings of our incredible universe.
I'm honored to be part of your student's education, and I hope we can work together throughout the year to help them unlock some of the mysteries of our world.
