How to Reserve a Book Online
Log into your Clever account.
Scroll down to "Other Resources"
Click "Sierra Vista Destiny Library." (You can click the heart above this icon and make it a favorite, so it will always be on the top of your page).
Click "Log In" in the top right corner of the page.
Log in using your Google account.
What can you do on the Destiny Discover site?
Search for a specific book that you want to read.
In the search bar, type in the title that you are searching for and press enter.
Click on the title's link and it will show you more information about the book.
Find out if the title you want is available
In the search bar, type in the title you are searching for and press enter.
The corner of the book's avatar will show "In" if it's available, and "Out" if it has been checked out or held.
Search for a title from a certain topic (genre)
From Destiny Discover homepage, scroll down to "Topics."
Choose the genre of book that interests you: Graphic Novel, Fantasy, Humor, etc.
Click on the title's link and it will show you more information about the book: Call number (where it is found in the library), AR Level, Word Count, Quiz Number
Check out books that are new to our library
Look at "Recently Added Books" to see books that were recently purchased or donated to our library!
Every book has a Call Number
The Call Number is like a book's "address" in the library.
FIC means "Fiction." These are usually chapter books. Fiction means: 1. Something told or written that is not fact. 2. A made-up story. 3. Works of literature that are not true stories.
E means "Easy Readers." These are always picture books. They are not necessarily "easy..." It just means that they are picture books.
###(Numbers before author last name) = "Non Fiction." Non Fiction means: : writing that is about facts or real events.
