Night sky

Night sky, night sky,
put the stars in my eyes,
take up the light,
put in the dark,
and erase in the morning.
Leonardo DaVinci
by Colton T
In 1452 the life of a genius kid started when he took a look outside. At that moment he knew he was in for a wild ride. When he got older he got keen to build the first flying machine but of course, the people thought differently. They thought he was trying to do things that only Almighty ones should, but that didn't stop Da Vinci. Then he thought of water that could zoom in so you could see things across the room, but alas the people were still mad because they didn't want this to become an unholy fad but still Da Vinci's soul needed to be set free. Then he thought of light he thought that this idea was sure to be right but still people had a fright because of the holy one’s might. Then he had an idea to build a bridge that instead of poles sticking deep he would try using triangles and when he tested it he found that the triangles were working better than all the rest of the bridges, but still, it was too expensive but still, his mind was relentless. Then he thought of how his ideas could help protect his country if bad luck shined on him from the Almighty so he thought of turtles and if they were threatened they would go inside their shells so he made an armored moving machine in case the battles got mean he made it so it had armor that could take a blow and it could be controlled from below then when he showed his plans to the people they thought he was crazy, and that made his thoughts get hazy of bad thoughts of failure but his inventions were his pride and savior. And now you know his troubles in this VERY long story so this was a little bit of the life of Da Vinci.

The Fidget Debate
by DJ Sting
Fidgets are VERY popular among students. Some teachers disagree with having fidgets in the classroom because they are sometimes distracting if used inappropriately and poppets and other loud fidgets are distracting to other students and that leads to confusion in student work. Another reason that some teachers disagree with having fidgets is that some people trade them to get new ones. Then they get mad because the one they traded for is not as “good” as the one they had so then they tell a teacher, and after 3 of 4 times the teachers get tired so then they just ban fidgets. Some kids are rebellious and sneak in fidgets, and when the teachers catch them, they come up with an excuse to not get punished, then they get off punishment free so then they think they can bring in more.
So if you need a fidget to focus you don’t get it because it's banned. Then you can’t think and you don’t learn so you just break down and give up.
So what do you think? Should we have fidgets in class or should we wipe them from school?
