The first event of the sectional meeting will be a math modeling showcase. We have three middle school/high school teams joining us from 10-12 on Friday April 10th. Each of these teams participated in the COMAP math modeling contest in November, 2025.
The teams will present their work both orally and visually to the audience and receive both oral and written feedback from a panel of judges. It’s not a competition, but rather an opportunity for them to receive live feedback on their work, which they don’t receive through the competition itself. The idea is to celebrate their participation in the modeling contest and encourage future participation next year.
The event will be conducted in the Wyman Education Building, which is on the west side of the University Center on the campus of UW-River Falls.
