All marketing majors are eligible to participate in the UWL Eagle Sales Competition provided enough time slots are available. Any limitations are based on level of completed marketing courses.
When is it? Friday, March 5, 2021. You'll have an assigned 20 minute slot to compete - please arrive 15 minutes early. After your role play, you will meet with a judge(s) for a feedback session. The awards ceremony and networking event will take place at approximately 4:00 PM. All competitors are expected to attend.
What is is:
All UWL Eagle contestants make a 20-minute sales presentations to sales professionals who act as buyers. A panel of sales professionals from sponsoring companies evaluates students on all elements of the sales call including their ability to communicate effectively and act in a professional manner. Following each presentation, Big Eagle contestants have a half-hour debriefing session with one of their judges. This one-on-one time with a sales professional is highly valued by our students and their faculty coaches. Students also will receive their evaluation sheets and a link to a digital recording of their presentations.
Students have several opportunities throughout the day to meet sponsors and learn about career opportunities at their companies. Contestants and registered non-contestants can submit their resumes prior to the competition to the competitions for inclusion in a resume booklet that is distributed to sponsors.
