Dedi Rahman Nur was born in Samarinda, and completed his Bachelor's degree in English and Master's degree in the English Language Education Program at Mulawarman University, Samarinda. After that, he returned to continue his Doctoral studies at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta and graduated in March 2024. From 2014 until now, He is permanent Lecturer in Universitas Widya Gama Mahakam Samarinda at Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Department of English Education. Beside as Lecturer, He is also active active in several journals as an editor and reviewer namely at;

He is also a member and included in the supervisory board of Relawan Jurnal Indonesia who has a mission to help the development of Indonesia Journal Management.
