Zoom is a versatile meeting platform approved for use at UWF. Contact your LSP or ITS to download Zoom Desktop so you can fully engage in the conference.
We highly recommend attendees use Zoom Desktop for each session. Zoom Desktop provides access to more features and functions that will be used during the sessions. To learn more about Zoom Desktop and to download it to your computer go to Getting Started on Windows and Mac. You can also download Zoom Desktop when you join the session by selecting download and run Zoom.
Be sure to get the most of Zoom by updating to the latest version. To do this, follow these steps:
Open Zoom desktop
Click on your profile picture in the upper right hand corner
Click on "Check for Updates". If there is an update, it will automatically download.
Click "Install" when prompted.
Wonder is a social networking platform approved for use at UWF. Check it out to get acquainted with Wonder before the conference.
Here's how to use Wonder:
When you first arrive, you will be asked to take a photo for your avatar and add your name. You will then go to the room where we mingle, just like at a party.
To move your avatar, place your cursor outside of the circle and drag it where you want to go OR click and hold on your desired destination and your avatar will go to that point. When you get near another avatar, it will form a circle where you can chat. Up to 15 people can join in the circle. When you want to leave the circle, simply move your avatar and off you go!
Create the optimum experience with the right technology as outlined here:
*Wonder works the best from a desktop or laptop.
*Mobile devices and tablets are not supported.
*Chrome and Microsoft Edge work best. Firefox is not supported. If you are having trouble, change your browser.
Here is more information about browsers and devices.
