Dear Class of 2027,

Welcome to the UWCD community! A high school thrives on the energy and enthusiasm of its students. This is even more evident in a UWC school. Central to the ethos of UWC is the belief that education can bring together young people from all backgrounds on the basis of their shared humanity, to engage with the possibility of social change through courageous action, personal example and selfless leadership. 

Our expectation is that each of you are joining us with an open mind and a big heart and that over the two years you will be able to gain a deeper understanding of yourself and those around you, shaping the kind of an individual you aspire to be.

My hope is that our staff and wider community will help you realise both your personal dreams and your dreams for our fragile world. Only by working together can we contribute to making our planet a better place for us all. Your UWC journey will not be an easy experience, but I am confident that you will enjoy it.
