Our Theme
Our Theme
The name of this 2026 TEDxYouth@UWCAC is Kaleidoscopes, with the theme of 'In Between'. Much like a kaleidoscope itself, an instrument that transforms scattered light into a single breathtaking image simply by shifting perspectives, our theme captures the beauty and complexity of the state of being in between.
In between identities (who you were, are and want to be)
In between cultures and experiences (diverse backgrounds, perspective and influence)
In centuries (circular nature of history - intergenerational perspectives)
In between innovative idea (idea emerging between worlds, disciplines)
This theme is especially relevant at UWCAC, where a diverse community of international students come together, each carrying a distinct shard of culture and experiencezs. Individually, each perspective is vivid but partial. Collectively, however, those fragments make up something greater than their parts: a beautiful whole that could not exist without all pieces. Kaleidoscopes: In Between is a celebration of that togetherness, and an invitation to find meaning not in spite of change but precisely because of it.
