Our research interests range from Category Theory to Topology. Category Theory is a relatively modern branch of Mathematics that formalizes and studies the intuitive concept of analogy in Mathematics. Category theory provides a panoramic view of Mathematics as well as formal tools to relate the objects of inquiry in one branch to similar objects in another. Specific topics include:
Closure operators;
Interior and neighbourhood operators;
Syntopogenous structures;
Pointfree Topology;
Metric Geometry and Analysis.
We run a seminar that provides a platform for postgraduate students to present their work and interact with their peers.
