UWMC Stop & PAWS

Friends of Oly-

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news that our founding pet therapy dog, friend and lover of belly rubs, Oly, passed away last week.

He was our first staff care dog and had his inaugural Stop and Paws in April of 2019. Oly’s focus was caring for UWMC staff. His joyful and healing presence became a staple of our Thursday afternoon break routines. He also could be found up after his usual bedtime loving up staff during a night shift as well. We considered him a colleague. He loved people and he loved the UWMC staff in particular.

Our heart and compassion goes out to Oly’s loving pet therapy partner and mom, Cynnie Foss (fossc@uw.edu) and her family.

Join Cynnie for Final Paws and Celebration of Oly on Thursday March 3. It will be a drop in time for us to reconnect with other friends of Oly.
