Short-term Workday Scenario: Intro

Short-term: Targeting at modeling travel patterns at the end of 2021 (constructed based on 2018 baseline)

Work Scenario: this scenario intends to model a worse case during a hybrid work culture, where plenty of commuters go to work and do not use transit on one day. This scenario is modeled with a combination of two levers: “10% of commuters working from home” and “40% transit riders switching to SOV”.

Explanation:

• % of commuters working from home: the percentage of pre-Covid commuters who choose to work from home (i.e., telecommuting) during the post-Covid period​

• % of transit riders switching to SOV: the percentage of pre-Covid transit riders who choose to switch to SOV during the post-Covid period; this is for all types of trips (modes), including commuting trips
