The 2026 New Researchers Conference will be held at the UMass Amherst Campus, directly preceding the Joint Statistical Meetings, from July 30-Aug 1, 2026. A map of the campus can be found here. The exact location on campus is TBD.

How to get there

Additional transportation options from Hartford Bradley Airport/Boston Logan airports will be coordinated and advertised once participants are selected. Group transportation from UMass Amherst to Boston at the end of the workshop will be provided.

From Bradley (Hartford, CT)

To Union Station: CTtransit provides a dedicated bus, called the 30-Bradley Flyer, to conveniently link Bradley International Airport and downtown Hartford. The Bradley Flyer provides semi-express, direct service to the Connecticut Convention Center and Union Station in Hartford. The trip last approximately 30 minutes and currently operates every 40 minutes on weekdays and Saturdays, and approximately every hour during the early morning hours, late at night and on Sundays.
