teaching

I hope to add a lot to this page in the coming year!

I have created notes for my graduate cosmology cosmology that are are not quite ready to post here.   I hope to have them up on this site by academic year's end.   Email me if you would like a copy.

I have developed a 101-level astronomy course about measuring distances in cosmology, which has a historical bent.  I really like this way of teaching (astro)physics, tracing the historical buildup of understanding.  Indeed astronomy is the field where a process that looks like modern science first emerged! ...and much of this build-up in understanding the Solar System and even the expansion/age of the Universe involves little more mathematics than high-school trig.  Email me if interested in my notes/slides/homeworks.
