Questions from Evan:
- How do we ensure consistency in implementations?
- How to deal with the rising number of "corrections"? Often they are double counted because it is unclear what exactly is included.
- Where category does different interactions/rates fall into exact, approximate, far from correct?
Questions from Jeremy:
- What are the theoretical uncertainties for nucleon mean fields in the vicinity of the supernova neutrinosphere and their impact on charge-current reaction rates?
- What are the effects of vertex corrections to density and spin response functions?
- How to improve upon the present treatment of nuclear correlation effects on neutrino-nucleon scattering at high density?
- How to provide new scattering rates to the simulation community (and get feedback, maintain a dialogue, etc.)?
Questions from Luke:
- What impact do finite temperature effects have on neutrino emission from CCSNe and NS mergers?
- Can we/do we need to go beyond simple models that include finite temperature effects through an effective mass with a linear dependence on the density?
- How to include degrees of freedom that get populated at higher temperatures consistently in the EOS
- How do we include better estimates of the temperature dependence of the EOS and new degrees of freedom consistently in opacity calculations?
- How can we best parameterize uncertainties in the parameters that go into phenomenological EOS and opacity calculations? These uncertainties need to be propagated into the predictions of astrophysical simulations.
Questions from Remco:
- What weak interactions rates would benefit most from (better) experimental constraints and theoretical modelling?
- How well do we understand the competition between allowed and forbidden Gamow-Teller transitions for electron captures on neutron-rich systems, where Pauli blocking effects are strong. What are the effects of high temperatures?
- How well are electron capture rates (and other weak rates) that can be treated in detail in 1-D modelling incorporated in multi-D modelling and is it important to do so, based on the significant impacts observed in 1-D sensitivity studies?
