The 2026 Asian New Researchers Conference will be held at the HKU Centennial Campus, in conjunction with the HKU 2026 Summer Workshop on Statistics and Data Analytics, from June 17-18, 2026. A map of the campus can be found here.

How to get there

From the Hong Kong International Airport to HKU

By Taxi
A direct taxi ride to the HKU main campus takes about 40 minutes and costs approximately HKD 400 (via the Western Harbour Tunnel). Note that taxis in Hong Kong have different colors corresponding to different operating areas. To travel to the HKU campus, please join the taxi line for Hong Kong Island and take a red taxi. Moreover, most taxis in Hong Kong accept cash (HKD) only. Uber is available if cash is not available.

By Airport Express
Take the Airport Express from the airport to Hong Kong Station (one-way fare: HKD 115). Upon exiting the train, on the same floor, there are multiple taxi stands. A taxi ride to the HKU main campus takes about 20 minutes and costs approximately HKD 80. Participants and guests may also walk to Central Station (about 10 minutes) from Hong Kong Station and take the MTR Island Line to HKU Station. From the Hong Kong West Kowloon Station to HKU

Take a taxi from the taxi stand on the B2 level. A direct taxi ride to the HKU main campus takes about 20 minutes and costs approximately HKD 200 (via the Western Harbour Tunnel). Note that taxis in Hong Kong have different colors corresponding to different operating areas. To travel to the HKU campus, please join the taxi line for Hong Kong Island and take a red taxi. Moreover, most taxis in Hong Kong accept cash (HKD) only. Uber is available if cash is not available.

By MTR
Transfer to MTR Kowloon Station via the overhead bridge at Exit M and take the Tung Chung Line to Hong Kong Station. Upon exiting the train, take the escalator to the L2 floor, where there are multiple taxi stands. A taxi ride to the HKU main campus takes about 20 minutes and costs approximately HKD 60. Participants and guests may also walk to Central Station (about 10 minutes) from Hong Kong Station and take the MTR Island Line to HKU Station.
