Running the Game

Have this page available when running the event. 

Place the first envelope on each table with instructions to NOT OPEN until you give the signal

Ask people to gather in teams of 4-6 players around each table.

Welcome players to the game! 🎉

Describe your role as a game host and provide the following instructions: 

• They will need to work together collaboratively 

• They should have minimal interaction with other teams in the room. They should not shout out answers and spoil the puzzles for other teams!

• The game is designed to be challenging, but you, as the game host, will be available to provide hints when necessary. 

• Once they complete the game, there will be a debriefing discussion.
  
  

Confirm each table has an envelope. Then, read out the mission statement: 

📥 Mission Statement:

A nationwide competition has just begun to find the most popular school in the country. Your school decides to offer a prize to the student who does the best job of promoting the school. You are active on social media and believe you can use your skills to claim the prize. You get to work by researching the best ways to promote your messages. Your goal -- have your messages reach the most people to boost your school’s popularity. The fastest team to finish wins!

Give the signal to open the envelope and start the game.

Giving Hints

The Puzzle Guide includes hints for each puzzle to help teams along that are struggling

Celebrate the winning team/s using the times you wrote down on their final answer cards. You can also print "I Escaped" signs and take team pictures.
