CPIB General Short Form (Paper Version) and Scoring Table

While the CAT administration provides more tailored and precise measurement, if you do not have access to a computer, the downloadable short form (.pdf embedded below) can also be used to administer the CPIB. This is a 10-item short form that was validated across multiple speech, voice, and language disorders. Please feel free to copy and use this short form for clinical or research purposes. To score the short form, add the points using the values at the top of each column. Then, convert the raw score to a T-score using the scoring table located on page 2 of the .pdf. Using the T-score, you can compare scores on this short form to scores received from CAT administrations if you happen to use the different forms of administration at different times with a client (raw scores do NOT provide valid interpretations or comparisons).
