Ph.D. Student of Information Systems
My name is Caity. I'm a doctoral student of Information Systems at the Michael G. Foster School of Business at the University of Washington, advised by Leela Nageswaran and Elina Hwang. I study how people and organizations adapt to new technologies. My work combines randomized experiments with LLM-based tools and causal inference on large-scale field data, with applications in ethical decision-making, supply chains, healthcare, and retail.
Before my Ph.D., I spent several years in industry, mostly in cybersecurity, working on cyber incident investigation and response and threat intelligence. I also earned both my undergraduate and master’s degrees from the University of Washington.
I am on the 2026-2027 job market.Â
I will be presenting my job market paper at both CIST and INFORMS in San Francisco, CA, this November 2026:
CIST: Sunday, November 1, 9:30–11:00 a.m. in Imperial A, Hilton San Francisco Union Square.
INFORMS: Monday, November 2, 11:00 a.m.–12:15 p.m. in Moscone South, Room 216.Â
