Universal Screening: A State-Wide Approach

Ever wonder how to ensure successful implementation of universal screening, including buy-in and stakeholder engagement? The magic stems from intentional partnerships along the journey. This session will focus on how a district intentionally partnered with key stakeholders to engage in learning and selection of a validated universal screening tool, and how that partnership continues to enhance implementation of universal screening in their district. We’ll provide an overview of universal screening foundations as part of a comprehensive school mental health system. Best practices, tool selection, and critical steps (with resources) for implementation will be shared. Participants will hear a state-level approach to policy and capacity for installing universal screening.
