Grad Portraits

We have teamed up with GradImages to offer Foster undergraduates the opportunity to take professional grad portraits at PACCAR Hall. Details below.

What to Know Before Scheduling Your Portrait Session:

  • You have until the business day before the portrait day to book an appointment. Appointment slots will close the business day before the portrait day.

  • Each graduate can bring one guest with them to their portrait session.

  • Students are responsible for bringing their own regalia and props, as there will be no shared items.

  • Students are not required to wear regalia (cap and gown) for their portrait.

  • You will have the choice to remove your mask for your portrait.

  • Portrait sessions will take place in the Jiambalvo Hearth in PACCAR Hall. Graduates and their guests will check-in at the Southeast PACCAR Hall entrance (the side of the building that faces The Quad). PACCAR Hall is locked, so you must enter through this entrance.

What Covid-19 safety measures will be in place?

We are taking the following precautions in order to mitigate the risk of Covid-19:

  • Students and their guest will meet a Foster staff member at the Southeast PACCAR Hall entrance for a contactless check-in. Everyone will complete on-site symptom attestation at check-in and we will confirm all are in compliance with mask requirements before permitting entrance into the building.

  • Everyone present at portrait days will be required to wear a mask. Students can take their mask off for their photos, but it must otherwise remain on.

  • Students are responsible for bringing their own regalia and props, as there will be no shared items.

  • After checking in, students and their guest will proceed inside to the Jiambalvo Hearth, where GradImages will have their studio set up. GradImages' photographers will remain 6+ feet away from students at all times.

  • Students and their guest must exit the building after their portrait session.

  • Contact information for everyone present at portrait days will be saved for at least three months for contact tracing purposes.

Can I bring a guest?

Students will be permitted to bring one guest with them to their portrait session.

When and how will I receive my photos?

Students can expect to receive their proofs via email, snail mail, and text a couple days after your portrait session.

Where should I park for my portrait session?

Pay by phone self-service parking is available in Lot N01 if you will be driving to campus for your portrait session. For additional parking options, please see UW's Transportation Services Visitor Parking website.
