By city bikes
One of the most convenient ways to get around Warsaw is by bike. If you don’t have your own bike, consider using the city bikes. You can also rent a city bike with a Nextbike account. If you have a problem unlocking or returning your bike, call the city helpline on 19 115 (you may have to wait a few minutes for a connection).
By public transport
You can get around Warsaw by bus, tram, SKM train or metro. Here is a step-by-step guide to public transport in Warsaw.
We recommend using the jakdojade app (or their website) to plan your route. The app also allows you to buy tickets. To validate your e-ticket, use the app to scan the QR code inside a vehicle or on a metro gate.
Paper tickets can be bought from kiosks and ticket machines at selected stops, on buses, on some trams, and in metro stations. In most cases, you can only pay by card. Short-term tickets bought in vehicles are already validated. Other tickets must be validated immediately upon entering the vehicle or at the metro gate.
