ACCOMMODATION AND TRAVEL

Below is a list of recommend accommodation options. You must choose and book your accommodation yourself. Then please send your booking details to Ms. Anna Orłowska <a.orlowska15 at uw dot edu dot pl> for a quick approval. As a rule, we agree to 152 PLN per night automatically, and we are open to any reasonable options that are more expensive. Please note that, if you book your accommodation in one of the places mentioned below, the University of Warsaw can directly pay your bill. Otherwise, to get reimbursed, you have to obtain an invoice (faktura) issued for the University of Warsaw. The required invoice data is as follows:

We recommend the following accommodation options (subject to availability):

Guest rooms of IMPAN. Their location is perfect (activities of the Simons Semester and the University of Warsaw Research Thematic Programme take place therein). However, there is no breakfast offered and other typical hotel amenities are lacking.

MDM is a regular hotel located less than 100 meters away from IMPAN. Please note that this hotel offers special University rates.

OSIR is a hotel within a sport center near IMPAN. It is a regular hotel with breakfast. There is also a swimming pool which you can use for free. Their webpage is only in Polish but the  staff speaks English. 

Hera is a hotel located in the city center, near the beautiful Łazienki Park.

IBIS is a hotel near the Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics, and Mechanics of the University of Warsaw. It is about 4 kilometers away from IMPAN. 

Concerning your travel expenses, please bear in mind that, except for visitors affiliated with Polish research institutions (who follow modified  national procedures), the University of Warsaw cannot reimburse your tickets - they have to be purchased for you directly by the University of Warsaw. Therefore, once you fix your travel plans, please request Ms. Anna Orłowska to buy you tickets. Also, for all other administrative issues related to your visits, including additional special forms required for visitors affiliated with Polish research institutions, please contact directly
