Welcoming gender diversity is an important part of our mission of caring for each other and our community at First UU. Yet, understanding gender diversity, especially as it relates to trans and non-binary folks, can involve a lot of new language. If you are new to this language it can be difficult to understand what to say and what to ask. Part of your work then is to educate yourself and practice this new language so that we can all work towards deepening our welcome to everyone across the gender spectrum.
