Music is Amazing!
Here at the Nokomis Music Department, we enthusiastically learn about many aspects of music. Activities include singing, dancing/moving, playing the drums, using our hands to remember 'do re mi' notes to sing, clapping and saying rhythms, learning to play the piano keyboard, playing various hand percussion instruments, making up our own rhythms and dance moves, and even engaging in some 'marching band' fun!

About Mr. Post:
David Post grew up in Ukiah, graduated UHS Class of '81. He earned a Bachelors of Music Education at UOP and a Masters Degree in Choral Conducting at Northern Arizona University. He holds a California Clear Teaching Credential from UOP. He is the former chair of middle school choir repetoire and standards for the state of California American Choral Directors Association. He was previously appointed head judge for the California Music Educators Association. He has been teaching in the public schools since 1988. In his spare time, David directs theatre with children, and sings jazz professionally. He is thrilled to be a part of the wonderful team of professionals at Nokomis Elementary School.
