Multimodal Foundation Models for Healthcare: Methods and Applications
Workshop@BMVC 2026,
November 26, 2026
Lancaster, UK
MFM4Health brings together researchers at the frontier of multimodal foundation models and healthcare. The workshop focuses on methods integrating imaging, video, clinical text, and wearables to tackle high-impact clinical challenges, from surgical video understanding and procedural assessment to risk prediction, patient monitoring, and social care for ageing populations. By convening a community spanning computer vision, machine learning, clinical science, and public health, MFM4Health aims to accelerate principled, equitable, and clinically impactful translation of foundation models into practice, aligning BMVC with life-critical applications affecting millions of patients worldwide.
