What is it? Edpuzzle is a teaching tool used to place interactive content into pre-existing videos from a variety of sources, such as TED or YouTube, or into videos you have made. Also includes a library or ready-to-use videos and questions.
Access: Click HERE to create a PRO account with your school email.
*On the Edpuzzle website, add the video lesson to your content.
*Login to Schoology. Go to “Courses” and choose the course you’d like to assign a video lesson. Click on “Materials” in the menu on the left-hand side of your page. In the “Add Materials” drop-down menu, select “Edpuzzle.”
*This will open a pop-up window showing your "My Content" library on Edpuzzle (or prompting you to login if you haven't done so already).
*Select your video lesson by clicking on the video thumbnail, then the blue "Next" button.
*On the next screen, choose whether you want to prevent skipping or turn on closed captions using the toggle switches next to each option.
(Click the blue "Assign" button, which will return you to the "Materials" page.
*Now click on the gear icon to the right of the assignment you've just created and select "Edit."
*Check the "Enable Grading " box in the pop-up window, select a category for your grades (i.e. homework) and click the blue "Save Changes" button. You can optionally set a due dates at this point. (NOTE: Do NOT enter the consumer key and shared secret, delete if something is auto-populated, as it will create errors for your students!)
*Now your video lesson is ready for your students on Schoology. Your students will start to appear on your Edpuzzle assignments and class lists as they access their first Edpuzzle assignment link. Grades will automatically sync with Schoology!
