🌟 Greetings 2A Families! 🌟
We had a great week together in 2A, and as we enter this beautiful Advent season, we are excited to count down the next 10 learning leading up to Christmas. They will most definitely be filled with meaningful learning and special traditions.
Students will continue to take part in our interactive Advent wreath as we prepare our hearts for the coming of Jesus. This week, we focus on the second week of Advent, which centers on Peace. We will spend time reflecting on what it means to be peacemakers—in our classroom, in our friendships, and in our families. Students will explore simple, tangible ways they can help bring peace to the world around them.
🙏 Upcoming Masses
Two special Masses will be celebrated next week:
December 8 — Feast of the Immaculate Conception
Friday, December 12 — Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe
Students are required to wear formal dress, including cardigans, for both Masses.
🎄 2A Christmas Market
I am incredibly grateful for the generous contributions many families have already made. Your support helps make this experience truly magical for our students. Contributions are still being collected and are greatly appreciated. 2A Christmas Market Wishlist
Thank you for all the love and encouragement you pour into our classroom community. We are looking forward to a peaceful and joy-filled Advent season together.
Warmly,

🌟 Week 2 — Advent Focus: Peace
During the second week of Advent, we turn our hearts toward Peace — the peace that Jesus brings to our world, to our homes, and to our hearts. This week invites families to slow down, breathe deeply, and reflect on how we can become peacemakers in our everyday lives. At home, we encourage you to pause together, notice moments of calm, and talk about how we can share God’s peace with others through our words, choices, and actions.

🎬 Videos & Family Activity Ideas for Home
To bring “Peace” to life at home this week:
• Create a Peace Corner:
Set aside a small spot in your home with a candle, a cozy blanket, or a cross. Spend a few quiet moments there each day reflecting, praying, or simply taking deep breaths together.
• Light the Second Candle of the Advent Wreath:
During dinner or bedtime, light the candles for Hope and Peace. Invite each family member to share:
“Where did I see peace today?” or
“How can I bring peace tomorrow?”
• Practice a Family “Peace Pause”:
Choose a time each day to stop what you’re doing, take a deep breath, and say a short prayer such as, “Jesus, help us bring peace.”
• Try a Simple Peace Project:
Write a kind note, make a small gift, or do something helpful for a neighbor or family member. Acts of kindness are beautiful ways for children to live the message of peace.
• Enjoy a Peaceful Story Night:
Use the read-aloud videos or your own favorite picture books. Turn down the lights, snuggle in, and enjoy a calming Advent bedtime routine.
Thank you, families, for your continued support, generosity, and partnership. This Advent season is such a special time for our students, and your involvement helps make these weeks leading up to Christmas both meaningful and memorable. I am grateful to share this peaceful journey with your children and look forward to all the joy, reflection, and celebration this season brings.
Wishing you and your family a calm, gentle, and peace-filled second week of Advent.
Warmly,
Ms. WileyÂ
