Course Information
The Design Pre-Thesis 3 is an advanced level architectural design studio that focuses on the Sustainable Technologies theme. It provides a unique opportunity for the students to pursue a wide range of issues, including (but not limited to) environmental issues, energy, sustainable habitat, building environmental, building technology, building information modelling, parametric design, and multitude of environment-building-human equilibrium issues.
Each student will independently embark on an exploratory journey related to the design programme. They are required to use the brief formulated from the companion course MBEA1223 and use it as the guiding principle for their design development.
Enviro Panel
ENVIRO panel is to facilitate sustainable initiatives to increase awareness of designing for health. The Covid-19 pandemic has highlighted the importance of environments in controlling disease, the value of creating safe and healthy spaces for all people and the necessity of using evidence-based research to support design and related strategies.
