The Ygg-boy is Your General Guide as a resident of the Moon!

 It is a multifaceted wearable computer that moon participants will use as a means of communication, GPS and navigation, data entry and journal logging, vital sign checking and more. 

Ygg-boy is important to you because it will provide ways to maintain your individual needs in a place foreign to Earthlings. 

COMMUNICATION

Ygg-boy serves as a directive of all residents on the moon and allows communication in multiple ways: 

• Intercoms

Access to intercoms is allowed and specified by department or all departments simultaneously.

These announcements should fall into warnings and urgent messages, initiating procedures, and request of specific company on standby, or to users best discretion. 

• Make a call

• Send a message

Ygg-boy communication is not restricted to any level of professionalism, but it is advised to remain professional. If there were catastrophic events to the lunar habitat, Ygg-boy data (including vitals, log, and occupation, location and communication) would be analyzed to better keep record of the series of events. VITALS

Ygg-boy serves as a way to track your vital signs. This includes:

• Oxygen levels

Monitoring oxygen levels in the blood (O2 saturation) is vital to ensure that individuals are receiving enough oxygen for proper bodily functions, especially in environments with limited oxygen availability or potential leaks in life support systems.

• Heart Rate

Monitoring heart rate helps assess cardiovascular health and detect any irregularities or abnormalities that may arise due to the effects of low gravity, physical exertion, or environmental stressors.

• Radiation Exposure

Monitoring radiation exposure levels is essential due to the increased risk of radiation exposure on the moon's surface, which can have long-term health effects, including DNA damage and increased cancer risk. Ygg-boy has a built-in geiger counter - if your Radiation intake surpasses a healthy limit, you will be notified. 

• Blood Pressure

Monitoring blood pressure is important to assess cardiovascular health, blood flow, and the body's ability to adapt to changes in gravitational forces and atmospheric conditions.

• Body Temperature

Monitoring body temperature helps prevent hyperthermia (overheating) or hypothermia (excessive cooling) in extreme temperature environments on the moon, especially during lunar day and night cycles.

• Hours slept

Tracking hours slept in a lunar environment is critical to maintain cognitive function, emotional well-being, and overall performance by aligning sleep-wake cycles with circadian rhythms and managing fatigue.

• Respiratory Rate

Monitoring respiratory rate helps assess lung function, oxygen exchange, and the body's response to environmental conditions, such as low atmospheric pressure or airborne contaminants.

• Exercise

Tracking exercise in a lunar environment is important for maintaining physical health, muscle strength, bone density, and cardiovascular fitness, essential for astronauts' overall well-being and readiness for space missions.

• Musculoskeletal Health

Monitoring musculoskeletal health, bone density, muscle mass, and strength is important due to the effects of reduced gravity on bone and muscle health, which can lead to bone density loss and muscle atrophy if not managed properly.

Should you experience dizziness, fainting, headaches, shortness of breath, coughing, confusion, muscle pains or body weakness, and any other concerning symptom, use Ygg-boy log to track your vitals, location and activity and contact a medic. If any of your vitals surpass a healthy limit, Ygg-boy automatically adds to your log the following: Time and date, Location, and all vitals. It is your responsibility to record to the best of your ability your activity and any other information youo feel in important. If your vitals surpass a dangerous limit, the head of your department and the closest medic will be automatically notified with the following information: Location, vitals, and speaker access to your Ygg-boy to communicate with you since you may not be fit to try to contact them.

NAVIGATION

Ygg-boy serves as GPS to help you navigate and chart areas on the Moon and within facilities. This includes maps and highlighted paths to help you get from point A to point B. If you are to chart new areas, Ygg-boy can assist in keeping an easy and accessible record for others to use.

LOG

Ygg-boy serves as a journal in which you can record audio logs or written logs. These logs may also include: 

• Journal

By recording an audio or written log each day, you can promote mindfulness and awareness in your daily life. This is shown to improve mental health by practicing personal reflection and focus by having better awareness in what you do each day. 

• Vitals & Location

If you experience unusual health symptoms, Ygg-boy will keep record of it for you. This is to help better understand the effects of living on the Moon. 

• Photos

You may use Ygg-boy to take photos that are significant to you, your residency, and occupation on the Moon.

OCCUPATION

Ygg-boy serves as an record for occupational data entry to help you keep track of your career progress. This platform will allow you to set goals for short-term and long-term objectives. Ygg-boy holds a common place for you and your colleagues to understand the bigger picture of your projects by allowing access to your data for all Moon residents to see.

Feasibility

There are many fields that would go into the making of Ygg-boy. With establishments similar to what we have on Earth, like radio towers, satellites, Radar, I think it is certainly feasible. To be honest, most of these things are already included with a phone. Things that are different from an everyday phone to the best of my knowledge would be: tracking your vitals, charting new areas, and a geiger counter. But we have these things on other devices, Ygg-boy would simply be an amalgam of all of these resources
