Welcome to Pre-AP Chemistry @ MECHS

This course is designed to provide students with a foundation to understand the structure and properties of matter and to understand how energy is quantified and transformed into other types of energy. This course requires both quantitative (algebraic) and qualitative skills. 

Introduction

Hey y'all! My name is Jose Sabido, and I'll be your pre-AP chemistry teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. I graduated from UT Austin with a chemical engineering degree, and I am certified to teach science courses for grades 7-12. In my free time, I enjoy playing the piano and the violin, reading, doing the NYTimes crossword puzzle and spelling bee, playing Wordle, playing Scrabble, running, and hiking.
