My name is Devany Colunga and I am a currently student teaching Pre-Ap Chemistry at Travis High School. I will be graduating from the University of Texas at Austin this May with a BSA in Biology and a teaching certification in composite science grades 7-12.

I was born in Mexico where I went to school a few years and then moved to El Paso, TX where I was raised. Coming from public housing and a low income community has made me a firm believer that any student can succeed with hard work and a teacher guiding their steps along the way.

My career objective is to teach high school chemistry in the Austin area and after a few years, pursue a masters in STEM education.
