Conclusion

G4 complexes may form completely by random chance as it is just a sequence of repeating G’s with other nucleotide sequences. However, further analysis should be performed for many G4 complexes forming relatively near well-known gene regions. Perhaps a thorough study to investigate the effects specific and deliberate genetic mutations to the G4 complexes on binding affinity may be performed to see how mutations can influence regulatory pathways.
