GI2C (Everyday Computing Research Group from, in Spanish "Grupo de Investigación en Informática Cotidiana") is a research group of Systems/Software Engineering, at Facultad de Ciencias de la Ingeniería, Universidad Técnica Estatal de Quevedo. It is a group of professionals in the area of Computer Science, which contributes and promotes research, innovation and competitiveness in the field of day-to-day computing; leading and participating in innovative, coherent and useful projects; favoring the progress and improvement of processes through the use of advanced research methodologies; generating knowledge; creating and strengthening networks of researchers and evaluators; applying, transferring and disseminating the results generated in the knowledge society.
Objectives:
Study the interaction of people with different computing tools that they use to carry out some tasks, with the aim of improving existing options and/or proposing new ones.
Develop tools/artifacts that facilitate the work of software engineers or UI designers, the development and the evaluation of interactive systems.
Build models and applications for everyday life scenarios that require intelligent data analysis for decision making.
