The 13th National Conference on Earthquake Engineering (13NCEE) was held in Portland, USA, on 13-17, July 2026.  The themes and program of the conference provide an opportunity for researchers and practitioners to share the latest knowledge and techniques to better understand and mitigate the damaging effects of earthquakes and tsunamis.  Dr. Bedriñana participated with an oral presentation in the event.

The 5th International Bridge Seismic Workshop (5IBSW) was held in Changsha, China, on 5-8, June 2026. The event was hosted by the International Association of Bridge Earthquake Engineering (IABEE) and Hunan University.  The themes and program of the conference provided a forum for dissemination of information and latest advancements in seismic bridge engineering.  Dr. Bedriñana participated as an Invited Speaker in the event.

This novel concrete mix, referred as “Sweetcrete”, not only costs less, but also reduce the CO2 footprint by at least 30% compared to conventional concrete.
