Google for Education is an integrated platform used across the school to support staff and students with collaboration and productivity tools. It provides access to Google Drive and a comprehensive suite of applications and services, including UTB email, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Calendar, Meet, and Groups. These tools enable efficient communication, file sharing, and teamwork within the school community.
ISH Information serves as the school’s primary information platform for parents. It provides essential details such as term dates, school closures, upcoming events, student schedules, and other important updates.
IXL supports student growth through immersive learning experiences, real-time progress insights, and personalized recommendations for next steps. Students can practice thousands of math and language arts skills anytime—at school, at home, or on the go.
LexiFlow is a powerful toolbar designed to help users improve reading and writing skills—all in one place. Available as an extension within Google for Education, LexiFlow enables students to understand written text through reading and listening tools, express their opinions and comprehension in flexible ways, and boost productivity and independence with features that support diverse learning needs and levels.
ManageBac is the school’s primary platform for curriculum planning and reporting student progress to parents. Weekly newsletters are also published through ManageBac, keeping parents informed about classroom activities and whole-school updates.
Skola24 is used across the PYP, MYP, and DP programmes to manage schedules, attendance, and absences. Staff can also access and view their own timetables through the platform.
SkrivaText is a comprehensive writing support tool that helps students develop their writing skills—all in one place. Available as an extension within Google for Education, SkrivaText enables students to correct spelling and grammar errors, access three dictionaries (Swedish, English, and bilingual Swedish-English), and improve their writing through advanced editing features that highlight parts of speech, sentences, and clauses for deeper analysis and development.
tes (Schoolcloud) is the platform the school uses to facilitate Progress Talks between students, parents, and teachers. Before progress meetings, relevant information will be published on ManageBac, and appointment bookings should be made by logging into SchoolCloud.
If a school Chromebook is currently set to a language other than English, and a student would prefer to use English for their device and apps, please follow the steps below carefully. This guide will help students change both their device and account language settings, and ensure apps display in English as well.
Step 1: Change Device Language:
Open Chrome: Launch the Google Chrome browser.
Access Settings: Click the three dots (More) in the top right corner and select "Settings/Inställningar".
Navigate to Languages: On the left-hand menu, click on "Languages/Språk". Click on “Manage languages in Chrome OS settings”
Choose Your Device Language: Under "Device language" click on “Change” and set your language to English.
Restart Chrome: Click "Confirm and restart" to apply the language change.
Step 2: Change Chrome Account Language:
Open Chrome: Launch the Google Chrome browser.
Access Settings: Click the three dots (More) in the top right corner and select "Settings".
Navigate to Languages: On the left-hand menu, click on "Languages". Click on “Manage languages in Chrome OS settings”
Choose Your Account Language: Click on "Manage Google Account language". Click on the pen icon and set your preferred language to English and the next option to Sweden.
Step 3: Clear Cookies and Cache: NOTE – this step is required to change Google for Education apps to English.
Open Chrome: Launch the Google Chrome browser.
Access History: Click on “History” and select “History” from the left menu.
Navigate to browsing data: On the left-hand menu, click on "Delete browsing data".
Delete browsing data: Click on “Advanced”, set time range to “All time”, tick boxes “Cookies and other site data” and “Cached images and files” and click on “Delete data”
